Ah, it's that time of year again...

...time when the Greywolf begins sniffing around on the web searching for deals and steals for his upcoming summer vacation.

Once again, the plan is to head off with the lovely and talented Aki in tow (or would that be on a leash?) as we head off into the skies. And as last year, the plan is to head to the City of Sin, where McDonalds is open from 5:30am to 5:00am, where the elite and the grunge meet and rub elbows at the craps table, Las Vegas.

Truth be told, I need to take a vacation. Unfortunately, the earliest I can take vacation from work will be July, so I'm already making it clear that I will NOT be anywhere in the state of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi or Louisiana from the 24th to the 30th. Not coincidentally, that's when my birthday falls, so it's a double delight. *chuckle*

The equal irony is that I'll be paying for the trip from my winnings at the Biloxi casinos. *chuckle* I probably would have done it earlier this month if Aki hadn't wanted to go to Monroe for her Ms. Louisiana stuff, but I'm rather soft-hearted when it comes to her. [cue violins] And I also went ahead and got myself a new digital camera, this one a Kodak DX6490, which will give excellent pictures when we go to Vegas.

The problem is where to stay. The Stratosphere was nice, but I'm looking for better this time, so I've been watching the sites for vacation packages. Pricing keeps bouncing like rubber balls right now, but it's looking like it'll be either a) New York New York, b) MGM Grand, c) Treasure Island or d) The Mirage. Most all of these are running in the $1000-1200 range for five nights, two tickets round trip. It's about $300 more than I spent on last year's trip, but that's ok... if I do what I've been doing lately, I should be able to make it work. Now, if the horse really takes off, the Bellagio might... MIGHT become an option. *chuckle* Don't hold your breath, folks.

It'll be fun... without the angst caused by a certain person last year who tried the guilt trip and instead found out how hard I can lock a person out of my life and forget they exist completely...

Don't ask...
... it was last year, and it's forgotten. Long forgotten. Thankfully the trip was still fun as the ounci can attest to.

It was fun. We are going to Nine Fine Irishmen again, right?
