Life with Boeing

Well, it's been a week now since I've moved to Ft. Walton Beach. Since that time, I've managed to get adjusted to life in Florida, life with Boeing, and life in general. I'm glad to be working, belive me. I'm even 'official' now, with my own little Boeing ID badge and all the other things the company provides.

Of course, life in Ft. Walton Beach isn't going to be a trial. There are stores, of course... although the music store selection could be a lot better. When you've lived with Tower and Virgin stores, everything else looks lacking in selection. Ah well, at least there's places in Pensacola close by.

I did find a very well stocked comics/gaming/anime store. There goes a good chunk of the budget. And a collectable shop in the Santa Rosa mall that has dragons and unicorns and wolves... there goes another chunk of the budget. And there's a number of folks that I want to commission artwork from (Sara Palmer being one right off the bat)... and there goes another large chunk of the budget. Add in computer and DSL and other things... well, you get the idea.

One of these days I'm going to get around to posting little bits of serious writing.

Oh yes... radio here sucks just as bad as New Orleans. Just fewer stations to choose from. *sigh* Internet Radio, please keep running.

Ok, enough for now..

If you want to check out some retro New Orleans radio, check out http://www.jdthedj.com . This guy has airchecks coming out the wazoo. I haven't had a chance to listen to 'em yet, but they're a great trip down memory lane.

What? You don't want to commission any lace from me?
