Two wheels are better than two legs...

...but only if you're used to it.

It's been a long, LONG while since I've owned a bicycle. But since I can't afford a car, and I needed some kind of transportation to get around a little easier, I decided the next best thing was to get a bicycle. It's not a bad one, it was on special at WallyWorld (aka Wal-Mart) for around $70. Add in the lock, the lights and the speedometer, and it brought it up to around a hundred.

The first thing I discover is that my legs are NOT as bike-worthy as I thought. Mind you, it was twice as far to WallyWorld as it'll be to my workcenter, so it's a good estimate on how well I'll do on going to/from work every day. It took me around 20 minutes to bicycle home... and despite the fact that I live near the ocean, the terrain is not flat. So I'm going to ache a bit as my legs get back in shape for daily bicycle runs. *sigh*

Ah well... it'll work out in the end. It'll help me lose weight as well... which is the other reason for the bike.

* * *

Excuse me, but I think I'll go now and ache some in private. [Sounds of creaking muscles and groaning greywolf]
