Just another day... like any other day.

Well, here it is.  Thanksgiving, American style.  The equivalent of Id-al-Fitr, where we feast and we feast and we feast on roast beast.  Except at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, where it's not turkey but crow that's on the menu.

But this is a day when we gather together and count our blessings.  Me?  I'm sitting in a house by myself, not even the roommates are around.  I've had my annual turkey day meal which was a frozen dinner.  *chuckle*  And now I'll kick back, relax, listen to some music and watch folks online in the nightly silliness.

I suppose I could have gone somewhere, like last year, but when I got word that I'll be carrying the brick (aka the department pager), well, forget making plans.  Especially since the rest of the help desk have scattered to the four winds.  So... here I sit, waiting to see if any idiots decide that work is more important than home life.

So I'm cynical.  Sue me.

It could have been like my Thanksgiving...stressed out, with froggy and I being the only sane ones there. Family gatherings do that to me, and I'd just rather take off and be somewhere alone.

Maybe next year you can get *me* to carry the "brick".

I hope you enjoyed yourself, even if you didn't have a traditional Thanksgiving. {SMILE, WARM SMILE, BIG WARM SMILE}
