More fun with PokerStars

Well, I'm playing tournaments again. Today, it's a freeplay (meaning no money put up) tourney, for the rights to gain one of 9 seats to a real tourney. So far after the first hour, I've got about 7240 in chips, with 1977 players left. Which isn't bad for starters. But there's a difference between surviving 2/3rds of the initial tournament, and surviving the next part. I still have to try and avoid being eliminated by 1968 people here... which is going to be harder and harder as the number goes down.

Still, I'm happy with my playing skills. Not taking too many risks, knowing when to bet, when to raise, when to go all in and take the other person behind the woodshed... *chuckle* It's nice, even if it's just for free. Although in the other tourney, that'll be for real money.

Now back to the grind...

Well, I busted out finally. Out of 6000, I finished 498th. Hell, that's still good enough overall, if you think about it. 498th at the WSOP gave you $14,135 for your efforts. But for a free game, it's a good show of my overall playing ability, and where I need to improve.

Oh, and I lasted to the second break. Which meant I had played for two hours successfully.
