Internet Connectivity 101

Well, I'm back online with a more permanent connection. Using public access terminals for the last year sucked very large boulders through thin stir straws. But now I have a service that meets my requirements:

1. It has a local access number in Ft. Walton Beach (well, Destin).
2. It is resonably priced (under $10 a month.)
3. They don't require a credit card. Just a bank account will do.
4. They processed it before I logged in tonight.

So, I've got a 'live' presence again. Granted, it's dial-up, it's slow, and it's limited. But it's enough for me to do some things (like updating this journal) and using tinyfugue for NT (and Win2K Pro) for connecting to the mucks. So if you've been looking for me online, I'm back...

Pffft.
MY connection's faster than yours. That's OK, though...since you set up my connection.

Glad to see you're back online. :)
