Post-Dennis Thoughts

Well, it's been 24 hours since landfall. I'm definitely one of the luckier folks along this area of the Florida coast, as I have power, phone service, internet connectivity and cable television still all running and working. This makes me several steps ahead of folks elsewhere, who might still have places to live.

Pensacola News Journal is probably the best place to see how things have been going. Their site has some excellent photo galleries, both from Dennis and from Ivan last year if you want to compare how the two storms treated the area. It's definitely been rough for the folks here, and now we have yet another storm forming in the eastern Caribbean that'll be Emily. If she goes to hurricane (which they expect) then it'll definitely be a rough season for folks.

Mother Nature is definitely trying to tell folks something, but the question is, are they willing to listen?

Meanwhile, it's back to work tomorrow. Ah well.. such is fun.

Fixed it... was using a client package to do this with, and it dropped my reference to the link.
