Dennis the Menace Update #7

Still on course, still on track, and the intensity is going back to up where I expected it to be around landfall. A nice, mid-range Category 3 storm.

In a slight side observation, I've been amused at the behavior of folks in their shopping habits. Went to Wal-Mart, and the food shelves had been nearly stripped bare. Meanwhile, I went over to another local grocery store, Food World, and their shelves had plenty of items except for canned pasta. Then again, they were running a weekly special of $0.67 a can (with their card) so that's why it was bare. But I could get anything else, tuna, peanut butter, lunch meats, cheese, milk, frozen pizza...

It's silliness. But this is the madness season here.

But how are the batteries and lanterns displays holding up? Around here, that's what empties first when a storm is heading our way. {SMILE}

Hmm. You think Wal-Mart customers are more succeptible to hype or that Wal-Mart just can't cope with bursts of demand?
