...and here we go again.

Gotta love hurricane season. Just when you think that Mother Nature's thrown everything she's got at you last year, she returns fully loaded for a second assault. And she's definitely ready to launch a serious set of assaults this week.

First we have Tropical Storm Cindy, which is busy giving the Louisiana coastline a good lashing. She was SUPPOSED to go inland south of New Orleans, but the latest loops show her moving eastwards. This is not good, so now she'll likely go in around Mississippi or Alabama. Which means I get to deal with the rains and winds when she does come ashore. Just what we needed tonight and tomorrow.

But the real fun comes towards the end of the week. Say hello to Dennis the Menace. Right now he's just a tropical storm, but he's getting his act together, and by Friday or Saturday will be sitting in the Gulf of Mexico at a Cat 1 or 2 level. And taking aim on the Florida/Alabama coastline, just like Ivan the Terrible did last September. Can we say Mother Nature is serious about doing some urban renewal around here?

It's going to be a !fun week here, folks... batten down the hatches and fasten your seat belts.
