Ivan the Terrible, Update #3B

11pm EDT forecast comes out. The National Hurricane Center posted a hurricane watch. From St. Marks, Florida to just east of Morgan City, Louisiana. That's nearly 500 MILES of coastline being covered under a watch. As for the spaghetti runs, the models have suddenly gone all over the place. One model puts it into the panhandle, another puts it into New Orleans, and a third sends it off into the southwest Gulf!!

New main target area is Mobile. If... and I stress this hard, IF these models hold up over the next 24 hours, I will not be moving. There's no reason to head west if the storm is moving in that direction. However, if the storm maintains it's current track, and curves only slightly eastward, I will be having to scramble to get out of the area.

Something tells me I'm not going to be pulling the trigger to leave until the last second. It's having to deal with a serious amount of uncertainty that's the problem. I was considering possibly going at least as far as Biloxi, but some of the models have it going in close to that region as well. *sigh*

Nothing like a major hurricane to make life difficult.

More tomorrow... right now, my cat has the right idea. Just go to sleep...
