Idle Observations...

Every once in a while I find something amusing on the net. Lately I've been reading the commentaries of Robert Loest, manager of a mutual fund. Unlike a lot of funds, this individual bothers with not only telling investers what he's buying or selling, but WHY. Along with it are lessons on economics, society, government and just general thoughts. (The fact that he used a line from Ender's Game for a while tells me he's also a science-fiction fan.)

Today, his column was more a collection of observations, but some of them had me in stiches. They read like Robert Heinlein's "Notebook of Lazarus Long" but they contained a few truths about investing and the mass delusions most have about the market. If you want to read it yourself, go to http://www.ipsfunds.com/strategies.html and look. However, there was one line that did tickle me...

"There's never just one cockroach."
